Heard about standing desks but unsure why they are all the hype?

Standing desks Auckland

Sarah's professional opinion is, 'it's not the standing per say but the choping and changing between sitting and standing that is important'. Sitting or standing for extended periods is not good for you. Moving around engages your muscles, increases blood flow and lymphatic drainage and so on. Sarah highly recommends you alternate between sitting and standing throughout the day and encourages regular movement breaks, each time resetting your posture. Whether you are working from home or the office, regular breaks are so important.

Questions to ask yourself!

What sort of desk do you use?

Is it set at the correct height?

Is there enough space? Something often overlooked and often documents are overflowing all over the place

Is there enough white space or is filled with clutter?

Do you have enough leg room?

Ask your employer for a desk that is appropriate to you and your needs!
